Thank you all for your responses.
cytefx. My radio seems to have two sets of slots at the base. One at each end and a further one about 3cms in from each side, with a grey plastic tongue. The two at the extremities have a metal tongue well recessed. Which of these two should I be looking at and if I give them a push with something will the radio just spring forward, or is it more complicated.
To explain my circumstances in a little more detail, I live in the South of France and have no interest in French radio as such. I propose therefore, to try in the first instance, disconnecting my radio aerial-in order that there is no signal to interfere with the FM sender for my Ipod, to see if I can then tune the Ipod to the radio without any random station interference. This may or may not work, but I feel it's worth a try. If not I will try one of the more expensive routes. To which, there is Harmon Kardon, who produce something which interupts the aerial lead, and charges the Ipod. They unfortunately do not wish, at the moment, to sell this seperately from the sharp piece of kit they have to control the Ipod itself and is not currently available, anyway. Alternatively there is the American Neo Ion, not yet I believe available in Europe. The Dension kit is again too expensive.
If anybody knows different to my ramblings I would be delighted to hear from them. I feel sure one will be able to eventually just plug into the CD outlet and into the Ipod for £10. but not yet!
Thanks again to all who responded.
John.
