Chaps,

Am looking to re chip the ecu on my 993 rs Rep. There is quite a famous guy based in Lancashire Rossendale area, but for the life of me cant remember his outfits/his name. Anyone have details at all please as now is the time to get the car booked in before the race season gets to close when I understand he gets really busy.

Many thanks,

Mike

That'll be Wayne Schofield - chipwizards. Used to work out of 9M in Warrington but not sure now as I believe they have moved premises recently. Good bloke Wayne......bit of a wizard with chipping cars[:D] wayne@chipwizards.co.uk

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gwh59Qk6qiE Make sure your vario is working if it has ..... 993C2 being remapped by Wayne above.

He did my 993 in Sept 2014 and is operating out of the 9M rolling road. Best to send him a text message on his mobile 07874328306 and he should get back to you. Most of the day he is working with cars on the rolling road at full scream so he tends to respond early or late. Cash or bank transfer. (No cards)

Yes that is what book says, but when the 993 register visited 9M's dyno a few years back most of the standard cars we took along were rather better than the book rating - some as high as 300.

with no disrespect to Wayne or colin B that rolling road is recognised as being fairly kind! we used to have a 'social 'meet at 9m pre annual rs day.........he had my rs tuning 993 gt2 ,dealt with by rs tuning in Germany well over 550 bhp ........dare i suggest rolling roads are ALL different and best used as a comparison .......before and after, on same machine in same environmental conditions is the only valid result having said this i ve seen Wayne at work , last in Rochdale on a 993 cup car......just looking for standard 315 bhp after major rebuild , exactly what he did ........ he takes a standard 993 or 993 turbo maybe , improves the mid range ,frankly beyond belief..............its just so smooth.....with his experience he is capable of spotting things mechanically wrong that others may miss, when satisfied all in order he has pre arranged programs , all well tried ,which he has developed at great length from scratch, and having applied the basics he then fine tunes Anyone not satisfied ,it won't be wayes work ........biggest prob is tying him down believe me its worth persevering and book him !

Bob Watson, see associated thread was pretty spot on. The trouble with the variorum, it sometimes slip. As Bob has closed, can anyone suggest a good Dyno, maybe organise another day?

Chaps, Many thanks for all your help with the above. I have nowbeen in contact with Wayne and gained his advice somewhat on remapping, but more questions arise ? Please see my next thread. Mike

He set fire to my car. Wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. I achieved better results runing up and down our local dual carriageway and all that cost me was a pub dinner for my dearly beloved.
