993 Rear windscreen replacement - help

Hi, I got back to my '96 993 at Gatwick to find the rear windscreen smashed.
I'm not having any luck with insurers or local porsche specialists, they can't find a replacement.
Anyone know where I can get one bought and fitted?

Thanks

Chris

Would love to know who your local "Porsche Specialist" are! There is stock at Reading so any OPC can get you one

I needed a replacement screen for my 997 recently - my PCGB insurance policy with Lockton let me use my local Porsche Centre without any issue. Check the terms of your policy, you may well have glass cover for the rear screen with a very modest excess and no "claim" to bump up next year's premium.
As above, I would just use your Porsche Centre, mine did an excellent job.

Sorry to hear of your dilemma.

993 rear screens have some previous with spontaneously combusting, so it could be that there's been no foul play.

Paul at Glasstec Automotive gets my vote for 993 glass fitment. He gets the glass from Reading and fits to Porsche guidelines, taking care to do it well and do it right.

No connection other than being a very happy customer
