993 RS Chassis Number database

Hi everyone,

Len Munro in S Africa is building a database of 993 RS chassis numbers. He's recording LHD/RHD, Colour and delivery market. If you are interested, please e mail me these details for your car (we don't want reg numbers for security reasons) and I will forward them to Len. We'll then find a way of sharing all this with everyone.

There is a great book for the '73 RS's simply called Carrera RS which lists every chassis number, complete spec, delivery market, options etc so clearly Porsche have all this data. It would be great if someone brought out a similar one for the 993 RS!

Actually Porsche do not have all that information. George Konradsheim and Dr. Thomas Gruber, who wrote the book, went to the factory and photocopied all the build sheets of the 2.7 RSs. The factory later had a fire and lost some of those records. When the factory wants them they go to Konradsheim and Gruber!
