Spotted a 993 rs RHD in Maritime Blue, the owner says its a UK supplied RHD ? I know he purchased the genuine shell ( WPOZZZ99ZSS390059 ) and ninemeister built the clubsport from the shell,
anybody shed some light on it, quite interesting, and actually thought the Maritime suited the 993 which was a surprise

Looks like a 993Rs shell that someone has put, what appears to be a rhd drive cage in......The 7 "real" AFN rhd M003 have a Lhd cage in them from the factory.

Nice colour and love the small spoiler kit.

Interior paint is far too good for factory!

I know ChrisW now owns the early RS development car, but why would they make a CS development car when there were cups etc...then make them to a different spec???

As the chassis numbers of M002/03 are sequential, what defines this car as an M003?

What gearbox does it have?

Does have a genuine matter M003 cage.

what is with the seats & seat belts?

Assume a supplied shell wouldn't have a spec sticker under the front lid?

looks like a great car, but what is the CS connection?

Just as a point of reference, if you run a DVLA check on the plate, it comes up as "Blue Porsche unknown model".

I have never seen that before, mine comes up as Carrera RS and I have seen other CS come up as Porsche 911 Carrera.

Mabe it was built up?

Owner with rs shell had it built at Ninemeister, thought with WPOZZZ99ZSS390059 number someone could confirm the shell was rs or rsc ? owner told me, Julian, and Stuart it was a UK rhd clubsport shell which was a surprise as as you said only 7 are known,
still a cool looking Porsche in any event.

Steve, the cage is not correct for a CS. As above too many discrepancies.

As I said to Julian, try to not to believe everything you are told, straight away! [:D]

Even though my '95 CS is believed to be ex Senna! [8D]

And that's why I come on here for some expert opinions, I suspect the cage was done at Ninemeister at some point, it would be very difficult to keep number 8 under wraps !
so its an RS shell, modified with cage at Warrington, painted Maritime Blue, sorted.

The truth is this, originally a vw beetle 1303s, made in Brazil, then campaigned in la Moccha Torpedos by famous bare chested cigar smoking Pedro de Pedllero .... in his last and fatal race Pedro accidentally threw his butt into the gasolina while stopping for a buzzard embedded in his rear 993 GT2 Evo Banana Wing and set the whole pits ablaze .... the shell was then given to his widow who stored Pedro's ashes. The house burnt down, all were lost but hte shell as it was survived and salvaged ashes and all by the local scrapyard, where it laid for several years before being discovered by a visiting priest who was attracted by the strong spirits emerging from the burnt wreck. He rescued the remains to a holy restorer in Rome, who reincarnated the beetle, but was given the wrong worksop manual having taken the part number from the rear wing .... and it came to past, for this is the word of the Leichtbau ...May lightness be amongst you all ....[8|]

Rumour has it that some squirrel remains were found in the glovebox ....

Des, the car you mention, didn't that pass through the hands of the well known philanthropist and Porsche collector Ben Di AliBo-nett at some point....or am I confusing that with another car? [:D]

What says its a clubsport
Very early number, not seen a T chassis number clubsport yet
If just a shell was supplied it would not have a window number would it?did you see the shell number,i did see the car, looked nice, head to full of the fastest lines of silverstone to go into detail, after all i am only a man[:D]

Steve, that's quite a serious edit from the original post..makes the subsequent responses look a little confusing?

Well...only because in the thread the car was first stated as a rare rhd development version of the m003.

That is all I meant by the subsequent responses appear a little confusing...No problems at all......I am more than happy for my replies to deleted, if they suggest that the car is not in fact an albino unicorn as hoped! [:D]

can only repeat what the owner stated, which by all means is bollocks, only one person can shed light on this, Mark Clowes who built it, I will endevour to enquire from Mark and let you know what the Maritime Blue secret clubsport stealth factory RHD experimental M002/3 is !!

Reply from Mark Clowes, '' its a 9m clubsport built from genuine matching number RS to the customers specifications "' the cage was laser copied from Colins clubsport and fabricated & welded into an RS shell"
so correct Paul, not a Porsche factory clubbie but a 9M clubsport, great looking car, think I would have replicated a factory clubsport but the customer wanted what he got including electric windows and lots of comfort extra's [:D]

I'm no rs expert but the car caught my eye at the silverstone classic and i noticed far too many discrepancies for my novice eye and i walked away thinking it was a replica based purely on the windscreen vin tag which was not in the correct font ,size or stamped design............
