993 RS Spoilers

Just picked up my car and love it to bits - Small world as ScottR (silver car) on here lives opposite and popped round last night when he saw the car on the driveway, very small world and good to meet you.

The car has the standard small spolier pack and I know some would say they prefer those to the arger spoilers but I have been after a bright coloured car with CS spoiler pack for plenty of years, been through a handful of dark coloured cars so eventually got there and cant describe how good it feels.

Whats do people think i should ask for the rear spoiler, front splitter and side skirts? all approx 13 years old !!!

Original plan was to put them in the loft but if they are worth anything it probally makes sense to sell.

I was after a car with the recaro front seats but this car has the comfy dentist seats, which after driving it are better than I thought - not sure wether to change if and when a set of fixed back recaros come up - anyone know of a set?

Feel like a kid with my first car for some reason.

So, come on then.... what colour is it? Any photos?

Sounds like you're chuffed with it, well done. [:)]
I confess I'd keep the original spoilers (you never know) but I guess they're worth quite a few bob.[;)]

Its much nicer than urs and i ve seen it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK only joking ...................................

I agree with Ferryman.

Everything oe I remove I keep, including the seats. In a few years should you wish to change back for yourself or to sell try finding those bits and you can sell the aftermarket stuff separately too.

The spoilers seem to be a personal thing; I know i only wanted a car without the CS spoilers!

Recaro pole positions with runners are about £1k for 2. They for me are more comfortable than the std ones, which now clutter up my parent's garage!

In the loft they go then !!!

Its speed yellow - the car that was advertised on PH. Not the cheapest - def not the most expensive - not the best and def not the worst BUT to me it freakin brilliant and well well chuffed.

Car was checked over by Steve at Jaz , managed to catch a lift off an old boy in some old early orange car - now that was my cup of tea and really getting an itch for an early car too - anyway thats a different story

Enjoy.

Including the 964 RS I had, the 993 RS is for me the best car I have owned.

They seem a perfect balance of usability, speed, feel, character, and an undefinable specialness.

One last point, if Jaz have not suggested already, get it set up properly and set your roll bars to full stiff at back and 1 hole off full stiff at the front. Certainly made a big improvement to mine.

Mike, glad the inspection worked out and you finally got one in your favourite colour [:D]

Definitely keep the originals, we are all different, but personally I much prefer the small RS kit, maybe the next owner will...if you ever sell this one? [;)]

That Mashaw link I sent you, they have reasonably priced carbon fibre front and rear CS/RSR spoilers at a fraction of the weight of the fibreglass orignals...I would definitely go in that direction myself!

I think Essential is beeing far too modest, i saw it last night [personal taxi service to collect ] .............its a gorgeous car in very good condition , not too precious to drive and nothing to do that cant be specifically defined and sorted ................he ll prob get something one day so he can keep up with an ol git but in the meantime will have to try and scare everyone with the colour !
Good one Mike

Well if you want a lightweight car, there's your answer.
The '72 2.4S is only 1,050kg.
Vic's has a pretty lightweight driver too.[;)]

It looked lovely to me, and I am very fond of Speed Yellow.

Plus, Steve and JAZ have a great reputation so it will have been well looked after.
