Silly question maybe can anyone tell me what your meant to do storing your car and how to go about it r you meant to start it up let it run once a week if so for how long r you meant to disconnect the battery tires oil petrol can any one help what I've done in the past is just leave it on charge and start up once every ten days or so but have noticed that the tappets r sounding like a bag of nails at the mo have been told this could be in need of a good drive which should clear this up thanks for anyone that can help

I've thought about this over the last couple of years but by the time you have done all that nonsense the sun has come out and you miss the chance of a nice drive. So with the trickle charger in I think a 30+ mile drive is a better bet.

Agree, best to leave on trickle charge and keep car (legally) on the road for a dry winter day to conduct a decent run which will benefit the car. running it stationary for ten minutes now and again would in my opinion do more harm than good.I would sooner a 30mile run every 15weeks than starting the engine in the garage every two weeks.

Thanks guys and to be honest that's what I've been doing up until very recently at which time car was say sitting in garage for let's say 3 months and one day decided to take her out at which point the tappets on the car sounded like a bag of nails then taken to garage where I was told to mabe start car say once ever two weeks let her run for say 20 min until reached temp which I was told was the right way to store these cars
