993 Targa roof picture request

Hi all,
I had a rust issue with my targa roof and got that fixed recently. The targa roof was removed to solve the rust issue and refitted at the end.
The roof was not fitted correctly in my view, as you can see in the picture below.
Can I ask my fellow targa owners for a favour. Can you take pictures from both sides of your 993 targa, where the targa roof is fitted to the car body?
The same viewing angle as in the picture below would be perfect :)
Thanks a lot! Chris

Thanks a lot Graham, that is really helpful.
From your pictures I can see on the right side that your targa roof actually aligns with the body of the car.
Is that also the case for the left side? I tried to zoom in but the picture quality decreases on that zoom level.
Sorry if it is not very clear, I marked the area in one of you photos. The picture of my targa in my first post is showing that spot.

Thanks for your help!
Chris

As using the free version of We transfer I have to set a new link for the rest. They also expire in 6 days so download any you need for later

See if these help from my phone. 2 Pics and a video are from the bodyshop which finished painted all the car on Saturday

Hi Graham,

Thanks a lot for that. It seems that the file is not updated, the new pics and the video is missing. Do you mind to check?

Thanks
Chris

Chris - I personally removed my targa roof a couple of years ago as part of a full body respray on the car, the alignment of the roof to body is not what you would expect to see on a modern car and I spent a lot of time trying to get alignment correct before putting the body bonding sealant on and bolting up the mounts. I have attached a photo of the alignment of the refitted roof and this was as good as I could get. There is an overhang of the roof on both sides and the seal is not perfecting uniform. The parts diagram doesn't show that there is curved piece of aluminium that fits in the seal as it goes round the corner to help get the profile correct (see seal former photo) and its not obvious how it's meant to fit in seal.
