993 tt ease of resale, etc..

Apologies for the number of value related posts recently. I have been offered a 993 turbo, 1995 (M), Navy blue with black interior, 80,000 miles with factory standard 430bhp conversion with new clutch and flywheel, new bilstein suspension and with a glowing inspection report for £36k. This is really top end of my budget but seems like a good oppurtunity to own a turbo (bit of a jump up from a 968 maybe). My questions are whether 1) this is a good price and 2) whether these cars hold their value and are sellable.

Thanks in advance,
Greig

1. Seems a very keen price IF the "glowing inspection report" was prepared by a recognised expert.
2. Yes and yes.

RHD... Not sure what C16 is..... Full service history (OPC and specilaists).....

Still undecided whether to push the boat out on this one.... going to view hopefully later today.

Appreciate your input.

I would have thought that was a fair price if the service history is comprehensive and work has been carried out which you would expect for the mileage.

Dealers have been selling extremely low mileage examples for almost double that price over the last 12 months. There doesn`t appear to be any shortage of buyers for 993tt`s if they are priced according to mileage, history and condition etc.

Certainly a very different drive to the 968. I still prefere my 968 as the daily driver though!

C 16, Means its a uk car, this can be found on the sticker under the bonnet and on the first page of the service book. It should read c16 with all the other options that the car had.

Thanks for the info, I'll check that point out re C16. If I proceed with the purchase I will get a full independant inspection done. Went to see the car yesterday (unfortunately in the garage with wheels off) but it was getting new discs all round for the MOT. Great sound with sports cats and exhaust. Have another car to see tomorrow (admittedly just a c4 so a different beast entirely) but will do a comparison and make a decision then.

Very good price if the car is in good nick the discs and pads will be a good £800.

No comparsion on the two choices and the deprecation is excellent on the Turbo. 69k mileage car going for £45k, You will be sold when you drive it, though the first drive will be a little scary due to the extra speed but its amazing how quicjk you get used to it.
