993 Turbo or 996 Turbo?

Can anyone give me some pointers for a potential purchase of a 993 turbo - im being swayed by the 993 TT as I know they are more solid......what to watch out for and what not to buy....Is a 95 Reg with 35K on the clock, 2 owners, full receipts and £55K price tag worth the price?

Does sound a bit on the steep side to me, but from what I've seen prices can vary as much as 20k for similar cars albiet with mileage variation. Are these 50-60k 993 TT's really selling? [&:]

Make that a 30k difference for the same year:

If it helps Pal of mine bought a midnight blue 80 000 miles mint with warranty from a reputable trader £39 000 its mint ..........................even allowing for age and mileage .

I think these £55k+ 993tt's are selling, though perhaps mainly to collectors or as 3rd/summer cat etc. I keep an eye on the high priced ones just to amuse myself and they don't seem to be for sale that long.

I'm only speculating about why they are bought and how they are used - I hope I'm wrong.

I have been offered that sort of money for mine, 97 model with only 27k, but what else is there for that money that has the build quality, performance and very low depreciation. The only other car I would really like to own would be a 993GT2 and we all know how much they are fetching!

If it drives like new, looks like new and the leather interior smells like new, it may be well worth the asking price. More importantly, if thats how you want your car to be is that one worth the asking price to you. It may be a good idea to have a look at a few others first before you spend that much money. I looked at several before I bought mine and the most expensive ones were not always the best ones.
