993 turbo

Am thinking mabe it's time to sell my 993 turbo have thought about it for a while and think now is the time but really find it hard on what a fair price wouid be I've looked at them and they range so much in price mine is a 52'000 miles arena red full Porsche history all mot 17 stamps in the book every invoice the car has rs wheels on at the moment and a ruf front and back bumpers but have all the original wheels and bumpers for the car the car is honesty 100per cent have a report by Peter morgen saying the car is 100 per cent and I no this is a hard question without seeing the car but just interested to hear what you all think what kinda money wouid be fair to ask for such a car and another question where do you see the price of such a car in say 2 years again no it's hard question to answer just wouid like to hear what other people think thanks Andreas and car has just been serviced

Andreas We've been hear before.... as previously advised you should have taken the £54k you were offered There is a whole list of dealer cars in the 50k mile area for sale in the mid £50's all with specialist support and warranties. With all the service stamps, MOT's and matching invoices then you may be able to compete with them. Personally the best looking 993's have the the RUF bumpers and wheels and in Arena red in the sun can look very special, so if you sell with all the original parts as well you have a chance of still selling for somewhere close to the £54k area. Prices seem to have stopped rising, possibly supply outstripping demand, so going on I would say they will be similar in 2 years. Remember that similar mileage 997Turbos are now early to mid £40k's

The RS wheels dont suit the turbo at all so you're best to sell those seperately. If the Ruf front and rear bumpers are genuine the again sell these separately. Put factory bumpers and wheels back on. Take a price staring with a 5 and you'll end up with more than if you sell everything to one person. Don't see prices increasing over the next couple of years. As stated above there are a lot of turbos hanging around at the moment in the £50k's. They are either all crap ( which I doubt) or people are choosing to spend their money on a something where they get a lot more bang for their buck.

With a third more miles on the Clock it looks like bad news for someone who sat on their hands[&o]

I have to turbos and 2 business 7 houses and I enjoying sitting on my hands don't have much more to do lol lol lol

A dealer will have added minimum 8-10k on what he paid. So take that off the 50k and you are more likely to get low 40's as a private seller.

I believe this car to be very nice, it comes with 2 PU's and a set of wheels so there's about £2000 when sold. I think late 40's as a starting point, why on earth he didnt take the 54K early in the year I dont know, maybe he doesnt really want to sell it he just a ...................

There's no way the dealer is working on that sort of margin its going to be in the £4-6k area at best and you would have to be daft to take less than 45k for that car unless its been in a accident sometime.

Think I saw that the seller and his car were thinking about joining us at the château - so we may see what you get for £63.5 grand[;)]
