I am thinking of selling my 993 C2 but not in any great hurry.

1996 manual gearbox in guards red. Black interior. 52K miles. 18" turbo wheels and hard back seats options from new. Full service record, immaculate genuine car inside and out. MOT until May 08.

The only downside is that I am the 7th owner.

Just not getting used. How much is it worth and where should I advertise it?

I am a PCGB member, but inspite of phoning the club this forum still categorises me as a non member.

My perception is that, this time last year prices fell a little, so if you are really not in a hurry, await for the spring with a colour like that.

I'm not sure 7 owners is that much of a problem if you have all the MOTs as a good fix on mileage. It's easy to see how you might get a string of people who own it for a while but find they are not using it.

Has the clutch been done?

are you sure you are genuinely the 7th owner? In the old days the change to a private number plate and back again would often show up as two ownership changes on a HPI check. Either way I don't see it being a major issue.

I don't believe the clutch has been changed - it ain't slipping and the pedal is light so I assume it is still ok.

V5 states number of previous owners.

Service book entries are spot on with OPC, Strasse, JCT600 (3off), back to OPC, Camtune and George McMillan Ind. Dates and miles nicely set out.

Provenance is good so I suppose something like £26K'ish. Cannot bring myself to place the ad !! (my dream car in my dream colour with good miles and spec - I will never be here again).

For what's its worth - I have a little home grown price modeller which I continue to maintain and this indicates £25.3k for a private sale against info u have in your post.
 
sounds about right-but with this kind of car its a bit like houses-its worth what someone who wants it will pay......so could be more
