993 Washer Jet Leak

A strange problem in that the drivers side washer jet leaks fluid over the bonnet whilst driving and irrespective of whether used or not.
I have studied the parts diagram and apart from a new washer jet there is a non return valve, not sure whether that is to stop liquid going up the pipe or to maintain pressure so ready to work when required.

Any observations gratefully received.


 
Not that you should take any notice of me, but I've always understood these non-return valves kept the fluid in the pipe so that it squirted immediately. Otherwise it would run back into the reservoir. Not sure about the physics of this, but presumably the valve is faulty and it's allowing the fluid to syphon from the reservoir when you're moving. I'd change it and see what happens - they can't cost much! [8|]

BTW is this the high miler (187K?) you mentioned recently? If so, I'm sure I saw it for sale a few days ago on some website.
