993

Without being too pedantic, what do you mean by best?
- cheapest?
- most secure?
- easiest to use?
- smallest?
- best value?

I doubt many here have undertaken comparative tests so wont be able to comment on "best" - only their experience of their chosen lock.

Might be worth posting in the general area for a wider audience?

Nick - I was thinking this myself and so your question has prompted me to try my Stop-Lock-PRO (recommended by my insurance company for my campervan) on my 993: Fits perfectly.

The problem (in 993, not campervan) is where do you keep it when driving? In campervan I have a massive magnet that stops it rattling about and it fits neatly (vertically) down the side of the driver's seat. In the 993 I think I'd want to put it in the trunk, which would be a pain. But I might still buy one for the 993 for extra security in the garage.

Took me 5 edits to get the image-insertion to work! (the "URL from flickr" route does not seem to work)

PS the big benefit of this particular lock is that the thief who wants to remove it by cutting the steering wheel would need to make three cuts (two in the wheel and one in a spoke)

I use a ...
Stoplock 'Pro' Car Steering Wheel Lock W/Keys HG 149-00 - Anti-Theft Security Device - Vehicle Crime Prevention[/h1]Fits really well. Easy and quick to install. You have to place it behind the passenger seat facing down when not in use as it tends to rattle a little if turned upwards. Small annoyance and not as bad as my roof down window rattle.

Thank you so much Mark, and indeed the Stop Lock Pro seems to be the one recommended, apparently the pro Elite does not fit.
I will be getting one of those.
Thanks
Nick
