993C4 17/18" Wheel option - OE only!

Can anyone direct me to a site which shows original optional wheels on the 1995 C4? Presently fitted with 17" cups and non-N rated tyres so looking for set of genuine wheels and correct tyres. Any comments on 17" vs. 18" ? There was always plenty to read on the 996 forum from whence I came..... and don't mention 19" or Scouser will be after me! Have looked at Mo's technical article on the fitment of 18" and the chassis appears to be ok for the upgrade. Whether my back is, is another question.

Pete.

The only OEM wheels for NB available in 1995 were 16" and 17" Cup 2s I believe. The other wheels for NB were introduced in 96 onwards.

I am going to assume you are not looking for 16" wheels so overall the OEM choices for a 993 are

17" Cup 2s. 17x7 ET55 front, 17x9 ET55 rear.
17" Targa Wheels. 17x7 ET55 front, 17x9 ET55 rear.
18" Turbo Twists 18x8 ET52 front and 18x10 ET 65 rear.

The Turbo Twists came in both solid spoke and hollow spoke versions.

You can also fit most OEM 996 wheels such as 996 Turbo Twists and MY2002 five spokes. The ETs are not exactly the same but close enough to be able to fit onto a 993.

Wheel Enhancement site in the US is good for seeing what styles are available www.wheelenhancement.com

As for 18" vs 17" .... interesting debate ....
