at Bedford for the last trackday of the year...Paul kindly let me have a couple of laps pottering around in his 993RS Clubsport..what can I say...

as raw as the '64, but smoother (makes no sense but true..), feels much more modern as well - gearchange sweet, lots of torque, feels really planted on track and almost invites you to go faster all the time. has not got that "i might put you in the armco backwards" feel. brakes exceptional.
does not feel as big as the 996 GT3 I drove last time at Bedford - still true to the lightweight philosophy..

i've got to say that i was very impressed with it - 993's rock [:D]

would not swap the '64 for it...but its a close run thing for sure..

thanks Paul if you read this - did wait around for you but got cold and had to leave..see you in March

Great Car.....so planted and directional, masses of torque and a TRUE evolution of the 964RS with NO tinsel badging going on...[:D]

Morning Matt, glad you enjoyed the drive and found it interesting for comparison purposes, to me the cars are sufficiently different, both with characteristics to entertain, it would be great to own an example of each!
Many thanks and to (other) Matt for the eye opening runs out in the M3, I am literally still grinning and already scouring the classifieds![:D]

The "other" Matt M3 is certainly a very entertaining experience ...... enjoyed a full session at Brands GP a few weeks back ...E30 does make a lot of sense....[:D]
