Do you think the £ will get to parity on the Euro? Better buy more left hookers[;)]

Yes, I think you should get on to it straight away Des, something in a bright colour may be a good idea too. [;)]

Hi Keith, Tom has a lovely white cup car for sale, think its around 90,000 Euro, check his website.

Not sure if "lovely" is the word I would choose! ;O)

It is 94 car with non standard later bits. Repro spoiler and 964 grp bonnet.

It has had some work but needs some more!

Oh it is also 25K more than the Mathai Cup!

Friend of mine has a black 993 RS with big spoiler for sale in France-Paris (LHD). Nice car (bought it 5 years ago from Thomas S.). Well maintained. If you want to get in contact with the owner, let me know.

its the 993 cup I was referring to, had some nice reports on it,

It was a championship winner , also nut and bolt rebuild by the guy in Germany who did a fantastic job on my GT2 twin plug engine ................plenty of inaccuracies cud all be remedied fairly cheaply ..................i nearly bought it off Tom Johannssen before Baby Blue turned up ......................who knows what it s worth ????????usual answer, wat someone will pay ..................its also well sorted for immediate fun ,Baby Blue s taken 6 months after total rebuild to get in proper running condition .............

Remember seeing this car when AndiM bought it to Uk from Thomas,,must be '05 from memory(?)...doesn't seem to have been used that much since then.
I can't recall if it has the clock (engine hours run). meter, but you should be able to check since comprehensive rebuild.

I considered buying it at one point, but speaking with experienced owners, especially PaulH, put me off of using a cup on the road and into a CS.

Still hanker for one, may wait until I am as old as Vic or lose the plot before it happens though! [:D]

Getting too old ........................the car i am taking abt is in Germany at TJS .............the car Paul talking abt, ex Andy M, currently at Driven Images Keith seen it lately now a bit scruffy but solid......................................car that was at GT Classics a while ended up at Sean Lockyers until a guy in Pangbourne bought it he still has and is enjoying it.............none are Virgins !!!!

Don't think gearbox is cheap to rebuild Vic! ;O)

I know a collector who inspected the car. Still for sale!

Spoke to a few people and it is not worth 25K over Mathai car.

Not sure abt the gbox quote Charles ............perhaps news travels faster to the frozen North than i wud have guessed..............lets say i do Know a 3rd gear set is £1781 +VAT.....................................proper g/ box rebuild if unlucky ,lumpy money , agreed

Nothing compared to a 997 cup car gearbox rebuild believe me. these cars are pennies to run by comparison. Although a 993 cup car will feel very sharp on the road, it is far more like a road car to drive that the GT3 cups and not as daunting as you think. Come off of the anti roll bars, soften the damping - many have after market dampers - and you will be fine. Just dont curb it and avoid bit pot holes - rose joints do not like sharp impacts. My car has rose jointed suspension and will have a very extreme set up but i'm fully intending to drive it on the road.

Spoke to my man in Europe and got the info via a Scottish invented device Vic! ;O)

GB work may be included in sale price may I add. Did not follow up any further with tom.
