996 2003 Dashboard interior trim strips?

Good morning

Can some one advise me if the interior dash trim strips are easy to replace? I have Savanna interior and have seen some similar interiors with different colour trim particularly the metal aluminum finish? Question is can they be changed easily if I manage to get hold of some new ones? I recently had the center radio and air vent trim painted and the difference is really nice.

Thank you for the advise.

Michael

Hi Michael
The strips are screwed in from behind, I think it might be a dash board strip down to get to the screws. Although I have heard of others trying to get the old strips out by finding where the screws are with a magnet and drilling them out from the front through the strip and then just popping them out with a screw driver and gluing new strips in.
Hope this helps

Many thanks for that information. The dash might have to come out soon as I have the issue with the cooling system and the foam coming through the air vents I believe its a separator problem?

If its out then a good time to change it with some thing that looks much better.

Regards Michael.
