Hi guys,

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Bought a 996 C4 Cab 3.6 2002 for the wife end of last year and recently took it out for the first long run, noticed that it had cruise control. I have tried all number of ways to get it to kick in, but it flashes green light and then goes off. Tried different speeds, different gears, etc. Any ideas on what to check on this model?

Thanks all.

It could be the brake light switch or clutch switch. Even if the brake lights are working it could still be the switch, as it has two sets of contacts. Also check fuse B7, but this is a bit unlikely if the light is coming on. The switches can be tested with a Porsche tester.
