Hi all,

My 996 needs some scratches and stone dents in the bonnet 'fixing' + a small dent in the rear, can anyone recommend a garage that i can get a quote from, thanks in advance, Simon

Hi,
I have used a body shop in Birkbeck Road, Sidcup before and found them to be fair regarding price and the quality of their work.
I can't remember the name of the business but the owner is a chap named Richard.
I would take the car to him and let him see it, he will give you a price there and then.
I should add that they are not a recognised Porsche repairer but the price reflects that.
If you drive to Birkbeck Road you will see a narrow driveway that is beside no 147 Birkbeck Road. Drive up there and Richards business is on your right hand side. There is another spray shop, which is bigger on the left, but I haven't used them so cant comment on the quality of their work.
Regards
Gerry

My pleasure Simon,
I have a few minor dings and stone chips on my 996 and was going to go back there for a quote myself. He did a large repair on my son's car last year, we were quoted nearly £3000 elsewhere but he did it for £900 and did a fantastic job matching the colour etc.
I was recommended to use him by an MG specialist garage.
Let me know how you get on.
Gerry

Hi again,

I think I have identified the garage you mention, does Kent Auto Centre ring any bells? tried calling them a few times but currently going to voice mail?
cheers
Simon

Hi Simon,
That's possibly it although there are 2 body shops there.
I have always just driven up and seen Richard. It is the small spray shop on the right hand side as you drive up the alleyway.
Sorry that I can't be any more accurate than that.
Gerry
