Hi all,
Has anybody fitted GT3 MKII or GT3 CUP front 6 pot calipers disks and pads to a 996 turbo.
Also has any body used or know about performance friction pads and floating disks.

Cheers Phil

You can fit the 6pot front to the turbo (straight fit) just remember to fit 997 Turbo Steels Discs. If you want to run pads, run the Pagids, most guys do and they perform very well.

Discs, buy them from Design911

The 6 pots should be a direct fit?

Obviously you need discs to match.
I have PF floaters with their pads and I am well impressed.

Check with fearnsport - they supplied mine and are very knowledgeable without trying to empty your wallet.

brian at jasmine does this conversion, he has a set waiting for my 996 turbo, i will be fitting them as soon as i get home, (i am on a rig off venezuela just now) though i dont think they come with floating discs, so i may have to get the pf floaters, are they in stock does anybody know? also, any recomendations for the rear apart from aeroquip hoses?

cheers robin.

The only floating discs that will fit are the Brembos (the noisey ones) and you will have to use a grinder on the Dowels (on the caliper) to take them down by 2/3mm.

The Alcons will fit but you will need an adaptor for the caliper, plus a new set of wheels if using stock wheels, you might get away with a large spacer as the Alcon discs are way bigger and will not clear the inner wheel.

Trust me, I have been down this route the cheaper and more cost effective way if you are doing some track work but mostly road is the 6 pot GT3 Calliper and the 997 Turbo Steel Disc. You will need some nice Pagids also

Hi, I am leaning towards six pot GT3 front calipers and PF Floating discs and either Z compound or 97 compound pads all round. Ive been told these will bolt straight on without any modifications?

has anybody done this

Cheers Phil

i have now got my performance friction pads discs and gt3 6 pot calipers on order. hope to receive them this week, and i can get them fitted as my car is in at northway this week having a new clutch fitted. has anybody else used northway recently as ive heard nothing but praise about these guys and they are also very competitivly priced.
