996 brake lights

Hi all

I have brake light failure? Sometimes they work ok , other times not at all, and then other times again go on/off very quickly?
Who can help? Is it an easy fix? Personally think it is sensor related but no idea.
thanks

Sounds like it could be a dodgy switch. This is located on the brake pedal mechanism, and is a bayonet (1/4 turn) fitting into the bracket. Fairly easy to get at - email me if you need instructions.

Thank you Richard, will have a look tomorrow. Yes Hasan amongst all the others a nice dark blue with all the spec you like 996c2.

That's great, but I'm very surprised....
After telling me to avoid 996's like the plague, you go out and buy one yourself! [:D]

I'm looking for an Arctic Silver one....

I said after driving a 993 and you were concerned about depreciation etc, a 996 is A) very different drive and B) alas donot hold there value as well. They are however superb Porsche's, and with sport exhausts and other extra's are fantastic. Especially round London.
