Here we go again....

Reading a lot of threads gives a corresponding lot of answers....

I would like to know where to obtain the best value and the best option for a late 98 996 C4 - the silver caliper model.

It seems to me that OPC discs are the ones to go for but teamed with what???

Pagid/Porterfield/Mintex/OPC/EBC?????

And who is offering the best deals on genuine discs??? Use will be fast road.

I've just got a cracking deal on 996 brakes (for my 993) from Bob Watson Engineering on 01869 340814. Alternatively, my local OPC (Rivervale as was) will give PCGB discount on such bits. I bought my 993 RS rears there as they were only £14 more expensive than the best price in Belgium! Rivervale, sorry, Porsche Centre Mid-Sussex are on 01444 242911 - ask for Simon Beech and mention my name.

Pads - Porterfields may be too extreme for road use - they squeak and are not great when cold. I would have thought that a less agressive Pagid would suit but it's down to personal preference.
