Started my car this morning to come to work, and did not get the usual higher revs on first start and notished sounded a bit bunmpy

As i was driving the engine mamagment light came on with a message, drive to workshop, called local porshe man, he asked how was it driving i mentioned that the drive was fine but every now and then in morning rush hour traffic the engine management yellow light would flash about 20 times, any way, got to the office and switched the car off and then restarted the car, no engine mamagement light or anything apart from a slight tappet noise coming from the engine, called the aa to stay safe and when he attended he put it on computer and came with the following fault codes

P0300 Multiple misfire
p0302
po303 Misfire
po304
po305

and mentioed engine running ok and no E.M.Light on, adviosed going to specialist and mentioned that he would not clear the codes as the specialist may not find them other wise

i need assistance as the car had a re con engine put in in late december, at a cost of £4500.00 he lost the vat for me as a favor, as he does all my work on the car, called him and he advised driving the car and to see if the fault comes on, am worried as all i am doing at the moment is giving money away for poor advise, as my last engine started with misfire in cylinder 43 and then on the day at the garage he told me the engine was spewing wayer and the engine had gone, so you may see my dilema

any suggestions on the codes and the tappet noise, car was fully serviced when engine put in and the tappet noise has only occured his morning with the engnine management light on

thanks again for taking time out to possibly assist in a feesable soloution

It has recorded misfires on cylinders 2, 3, 4, & 5. Therefore two cylinders on each bank. So it is unlikely to be a variocam or sensor issue, as these would affect either or both banks comletely. The most likely thing would be coil packs. Was it wet and cold where you parked it last night?

Thanks for the reply,

No was not wet, and was a dry morning, just put the key in and the car started, but on normal revs not like the normal 1st start with slight higer revs, and the oil pressure was ideling at 1 to 2.5 normally it is 5 most of the time

been advised that souds like no oil going to a cylinder, checked oil showing off dip stick 7/8 so not sure just panaking as only got car back at start of te year and properbly done no more than 1500 miles in replacement engine
