996 C2 - New Member to Porsche Club GB

Hi all
I purchased a 996 C2 back in August and have just joined the Porsche Club.
My C2 has 997 GT3 alloys. The Michelin cup 2 tyres are 235/40/18 inch 94Y and 295/30/18 on the rears. The suspension is standard and looks like the original dampers. The ride is very firm and tramlines very badly. I would appreciate any advice on what tyre I could change to improve usability. Thanks in advance.

Firstly, welcome to the joys of 996 ownership! Great cars and they're gaining in popularity.

Quite a few threads on tyres on here - most people seem to be split between the Michelin Pilot Sports (myself included) and the Pirellis - usu P Zeros and ultimately it comes down to personal preferences (and availability!). Do a search on the forum for tyres and there's a few threads within the 996 section as well as plenty of others site wide.
