996 C2 spolier is not level!

Not sure if its been like this for a while or not, but when its in the lowered position, the spoiler is lower on the right hand side than the left (when you look at it from the rear of the car) only seems to be on the edge nearest the rear windscreen ( 1/4" or so) . When its raised all seems equal (but hard to tell)

is this common, and likely to get worse or just one of those things? does anyone have any experience of adjusting this or should i just leave alone
It works fine and im cautious to mess about with it incase I make the alignment worse?

oh and the bell housings on my brake disks are rusty, can they be painted ok?
