996 C4 Service Schedule

Hi All,

Just curious as to what milleage the scheduled major services typically take place. When considering a 70k plus miles 911, this is obviously a concern.

Does such a document exist /mileage figures and is it following by independants as well as central dealers?

The basic maintenance schedules are listed in the service book, but if it has been serviced in accordance with the schedule then it will be due a Major service at 72,000. [:mad:]

Edit: To summarise the service schedules:

12000, 36000, 60000 etc - Minor
24000, 48000, 72000 etc - Major

Plus:
Plugs - 24000 for -MY99, 36000 for -MY01, 48000 for MY02-
Fuel Filter (-MY01) - 48000
Polyrib belt - 48000
Transmission Fluid/Oils - 96000
Brake Fluid - 2 yearly
Airbag check - 2 yearly
Cabriolet rollover protection check - 2 yearly
