Cant seem to find the exact answer. I have seen some used car ads refferring to 2004 cars as facelifted. Could some kind person please give me the difinitive timeline of the c4s specific changes, the FAQ does not seem to cover it although I may have missed it. From what I can gather there was a facelift and the service interval changed. Was there a mild power increase too? Thanks in advance.

The 996 C4S was never facelifted.

All of the 996C4S cars stayed the same throughout the life cycle (until 2005) whereas the rest of the model range had a lift for the 2001 year (the 996 C4S came in 2002).

As far as I know, only small detail changes were made to the interior / stereo / Sat Nav in that time.

A heavier duty battery was fited for MY2004 (that's extra power, isn't it? [;)]) and the service schedule changed, mainly as a marketing ploy, I suspect.
