Hi,

I have a 2004 Turbo cabriolet (with rear glass window). I have noticed that in the corners at the rear of the roof inside near the rear window where the corners (just above the velcroed side flaps that cover the hinge/mechanism) there are there are gaps in the lining that you can see. I have attached pics. Is this normal is is my lining coming appart?

I had a look in a 997 and this isn't the case.

Cheers.

Looks like one of the tensioner cables has come adrift or broken.

I am sure that Richard will have the correct answer for you soon enough though. If not why not email him.

Ok thanks. Would be good if I could see what someone elses looks like for comparison. Can lining be repaired or does it need a new roof (I hope not as roof is in good condition)? Any suggestions to where I could take it to get it fixed (besides dealer) would be great?

Thanks.

Sorry, I don't know much about cabriolet tops I'm afraid. I've got all the instructions, but unless you are a serious DIYer it looks a bit daunting to me.

I would suggest taking it to a trimmer to see what they can do. The headlining can be replaced, but a Porsche one is about £400! The Boxster boys have a good thread going about replacement rear windows, so check it out for details of a trimmer local to you: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=245268
