996 Carrera 4 registration in france

I recently imported my 996 to France (I live there) and it now has French registration and insurance. It is a Carrera 4 but my insurers say the French registration document (carte grise) declares it as a Carrera 2.
Neither the original UK V5C registration document nor the French carte grise contain the words Carrera 2 or Carrera 4 but the French one has the value 996CB21/01 after the word Porsche. Any advice what that nomenclature indicates?
The correct VIN appears on both U.K. and French registration documents which I would have identified the correct model variant.
I am wondering whether the French registration authorities made a mistake which could lead to problems with insurers in the event of a claim.
I can find no reference anywhere to the designation 996CB21/1.

Hi,
I would recommend first contacting your insurance provider to clarify which section of the document identifies the car as a Carrera 4. It would also be helpful to confirm what the document should indicate to correctly signify that it is a Carrera C 2. This way, you'll have the necessary information on hand when discussing the matter.

It’s quite possible that this is simply an error made by the French authorities. Additionally, reaching out to various French Porsche clubs might provide guidance on the correct layout and details that should appear on the document.
Good luck
Andy

Thanks for the reply, insurers were rather slow to respond but seems that ´996CB21/1´ suggests Carrera 2, but clearly, if so, is an error.
