Hi All,

New to this forum, looks a good site and full of great info.

But....

Need abit of help moving my dash around in my 996 to make way for the double din Porsche/Becker satnav unit I have bought

at the moment i have:

the AC climate control unit and standard radio in the upper section of
my dash and then the lower console a CD holder section and then at the bottom a storage space

- AC climate control unit
- Becker Pro Satnav single din radio

-Cd holder section
-Storage Hole

I have just bought a Porsche becker double din PCM2 unit

to get this to fit i need the following:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-996-PCM-Dash-Board-Cover-/150709345935#ht_1777wt_882

But i need this in graphite grey not black to match the dash.

Does anyone know where i could get this from?

Also once that is fitted i need to reroute my AC climate control unit
to the bottom, so taking out the storage or the CD holder section bit. To do this though i need the dash frame/trim that goes around the AC climate control unit once it is in the bottom -

Does anyone know where i could get one of these from too?

Any help much appreciated,

Thanks

Thanks

Most people just cut out the cross bar between the radio and aircon panel to fit a double-DIN system. If you want to get the proper item in Graphite Grey, the part number is 996.552.131.05.EJK, and they are £79.06 +VAT.

There is plenty of excess cable in the loom to relocate the AC panel to position 4. The surround trim is part number 996.552.339.00.01C and they are £3.57 +VAT.

The cubby for position 3 is part number 996.552.253.01.01C and they are £24.75 +VAT.

All should be available to order from an OPC.

However, the snag you are going to have might be the PCM2 unit. Unless it is a non-amplified version (ie the speaker connections are active) then you will struggle to integrate it into the audio system. PCM2 used fibre-optics to transmit sound and signals between head unit, amplifier, CD changer, and telephone modules. If the PCM unit is set up for fibre optics (MOST) then the speaker connections are disabled.

Loz,

I have a spare console and cage if you want them.
The console is black, no switches, only a cigar lighter.

PMd you.
