Greetings all, anyone interested in a 996 engine stand. One of the guys I know is going to make some similar to the Porsche one but will fit into the Clark/Sealey engine stands head? No idea of price yet but won't break the bank?
Let me know of any interest so i can let him know what material he needs to order?

Just about ready to start building up the 996 engine, just off to clean my pistons up before work.
Wanting a stand so i can get the engine on it rather than falling over it so the engine cases are over at the guy who is making the stand at the moment.
My old 911SC is in pieces at the moment as well as i am doing the bodywork on it to try and clear some space!

Ah space, Ive heard about that.

Estate agent said there was some in my house before I bought it, but to date I have never found it.

I am yet to find any in mine. I seem to keep on buying things that migrate to my loft for storage. I have 3 full 944 interiros up there at the moment and 3 sets of wheel plus 18 years worth of old motorcycle part collecting. Just as well I am building a garage with a loft.....

you must have a massive loft hatch :).

Makes me laugh when I get the knock at the door trying to sell loft insulation, The crap I got up there you couldn't get any better insulation.

Off Topic!.

I'd be interested - would like to know price before commiting. Thanks for opening this out to others!

Pic of the engine stand attached to my crankcase. Fit in all Clarke and Sealey stands. This is a direct copy of the OEM stand and a third of the price!
He is doing them for £90 plus £10 P and P to PCGB members, £100 normally to punters.

Hi Charles, picture of stand.

PM me with your details and I can get you 1 sorted out.

The 911 aircooled ones are only £60 plus £10 postage. This is for only the bracket, not the full stand. I got the blue one on Ebay last week for £40 delivered. A complete bargain as it is good for 450KGs.
