Hi just wondering if anyone had any advice or recommendation on how to repair my exhaust which has a crack on the flexible pipe without having to replace the whole silencer, i understand that you can purchase various flexi-pipes ,has anyone had any experience with these?
Ive attached a photo hopefully you can see it.
Thanks

Did you get you exhaust fixed? I have the same issue on my 997. I have ordered a new system from Top Gear . The new silencers from Porsche were well over 2k for my valved system and they also had none.

I’m I have had my MOT today and one box is just about to blow on the corner and was borderline for a pass.
l’ve either got to repair (l think they are the originals from ‘02) or get new.
l don’t really want to drop £2k plus fitting really as l rather spend on other maintenance.
Had a look at top gear one‘s. The Sports Sound ones seem to sound great.
Are they the ones you’ve ordered?

Yes , they are on back order , I should receive mine at the end of the month. Mine was okay in December when I took it for its MOT, phew. If you don't need the pipes and electronics like I did, they will deduct the price by £100 ish. I already have a pse on my car , its just plug and play. You can just install normal boxes and ditch the pse but I like mine , and the Top Gear boxes are an improvement to me on the original. The original boxes, no pgb discount and they are on a long back order from Germany. I am having my TG boxes fitted in early March, its 3 hours labour, I will post what I think when it's done. Thanks for replying.

Just replace the bellows units on each one, braided bellows better, a lot cheaper[:)]

Where did you get the braided bellows from please. I can get our engineers at work to weld them in for me and if I move the car on, the new owner can return to the original silencers. I have Googled this and asked on the 997 forum , but no replies regarding repair. Thanks for the tip ??

if you are anywhere near junction 12 m1 feel free to call through and listen to my top gear boxes. In my opinion they are a bit loud a low speed

Hi , thanks for the offer , but I live in the North West. What exhaust did you come from, was it the PSE ?
I am having a hard time believing that my PSE tips will fit on the Top Gear exhaust I have ordered. There are two pipes on the PSE into the tips and only one on the Top Gear exhaust.
