Actually my question is about the oil indicator gauge, but I couldn't resist the pun!
996 C2 - I wondered how much I can rely on the Oil Level Indicator reading you get when the car starts up?
Is it accurate enough I wonder (particularly as I park on a sloping drive), or should I take a more accurate reading the old fashioned way using the dipstick?
Also how much oil should I expect to get through - ie how often should it need a top up? (not that I'm doing much more than 8,000 miles a year)
Thoughts appreciated.
