996 Fuel Injection

A silly trivial question.

I was talking to a friend who has a 911 Turbo (1976 model) which he has had from new.

We were talking about the fuel system on his car and the fact that my car is so complicated (I would never be able to work on my car, as he does with his).

He asked what fuel injection system my car used and I cant seem to find the answer.

Does anyone know the type?

Three different Bosch Motronic DME (Digitale Motor Elektronik) or engine control modules, were used on the 996:

DME Version 5.2.2 "" MY1997-1999 (except C4 which were Version 7.2) - Mechanical Throttle
DME Version 7.2 "" MY2000-2001 - Electronic Throttle
DME Version 7.8 "" MY2002-2004 - Electronic Throttle
