Recently had a PSE fitted to my 03 C4 Cab with the switch, runs and sounds great ,till tonight, pulled the car out of the garage ( I always close the baffles before starting ) to give it a clean and decided to drive it round the block, whilst driving I operated the exhaust switch 2 or 3 times, as I went to accelerate the engine started to act as though it was running on half the cylinders.
On the dash a symbol came up that looked like an engine with the word check in it and in the computer bit it said engine fault take the car to a dealer ( or something similar ).
I put the car back in the garage 2 hours later after reading the manual Iwent back to it , started it and took it out where surprisingly it performed superbly. As anyone any ideas ?, could it be I switched the exhaust off and on acouple of times ,the engine was still cold when I did it.

One other thing, in the log in it says I'm not a PCGB member when I am ?.

you may have a coil pack on its way out , worth getting it on a diag machine to check for registered faults

if you had just given it a clean, you may have got some water around the coil packs if too vigorous with the under arch spraying. It has happened to me before. I'm just more careful now and it has never recurred.

Thank you it was a coil pack, took the car to the Porsche shop Halesowen who did it there and then even though it was there open day, so many thanks to them, they couldn't believe it had not shown problems before ,it was soo bad.
