996 screen nozzles

One of the things I liked about my 996 was the way the screen jets spread the water across the screen not just 2 streams (quite sad I know but hey ho).
Presumably it is the jet itself doing this and that a pair from a breaker wouldn't be too hard to graft onto something else? I assume they are heated?

Yes, they are heated. The 996 ones are now obsolete, and have been replaced with the 997 nozzle, which gives a fan pattern. They are about £16+VAT each from Porsche, so be careful what a breaker charges you.

Thanks Richard, OPC Swindon are quite good at selling me their cheapest parts! £1.23 is my record so far.

You should always check a price from Porsche first.

Often cheaper always NEW

Think I will treat myself to a pair of those RichardH as they should be better

If you want to fit them to your 996 you will need to adapt the wiring, as the 997 ones have different connectors. Porsche do a conversion kit, but it is very expensive (£30 a side, IIRC). They wouldn't be required by DavidL, as the way I read his post he is fitting them to something else.

When I fitted them to my Turbo, I just cut the wires and spliced them on to the new nozzles.
