996 Suspension problem

Hi all,
I've had my 996 for about 7 months and did a full alignment at JZ Machtech back in August.
In December, the car has started to pull to the left on the motorway (above about 50mph)
I don't know how this has developed as I haven't been over any potholes and always go over speed humps at 5mph ish.
I subsequently went back to JZ in December who said that everything is now in spec except for the passenger side front wheel which isn't going into the correct caster. This is why the car is pulling to the left. When they found out I had an extended Porsche warranty, they thought it might be a good idea to try and claim to have it done under warranty.
I called OPC Hatfield and was told, flatly no. I spoke to a service adviser there named Jo who is absolutely useless by the way. She had to call me back as she knew nothing about what I was talking about.

My question is, should I insist on this or should I just admit defeat and go to JZ (it needs a diagonal control arm, they think)...and get the work done there?

Also....Is the 996 suspension this sensitive?!...I really look after the suspension and it goes off for no apparent reason.
Apparantly caster can't be adjusted on 996's (They used to be on 993's and models before)

Thanks in advance

what complaint did you go to the OPC with?
Surely a customer stating their car is pulling heavily to the left, should be looked at by the OPC and if a said diagonal control arm is found to be faulty then they would replace it under warranty.. or is that just too much to ask.. back up and customer care etc ..[:'(][][:'(].

I know on my previous car when I asked for an alignment check they refused, but another OPC when I told them about it destroying tyres on the rear under 3000 miles, actually did a geometry check..

Never heard of this before.

Someone (JZ or an OPC) needs to explain what the fault is, what has caused it and what is required to fix it.

Depending on the cause, and so long as it is not the result of damage or wear and tear, then you may have a case for claiming on your Warranty, or getting some sympathetic assistance from Porsche GB.

Good luck.

Hi Gary,
Jo at OPC Hatfield said that after speaking to their warranty person that control arms were not covered.....
She couldn't get me off the phone fast enough...some sympathy would have been nice!
I'll try and get JZ to call Hatfield...
