996 Suspension / Shocks

Hi everyone,

Been told that my shocks on my 98/R C2 tiptronic are on the way out and need replacing. The car has done 90k and seems to bounce alot when being driven hard on bumpy roads.

Question? Should I replace them with the standard item or are there better/cheaper items around (most of my driving is around town, some motorway and 1-2 tracks a year I hope!)

Also, anyone suggest a good specialist in East London/City/Essex that can do this job?

While this is being done, are there any other suggestions on precautionary work/mods/lowering that is worth while?
