Hi,

Who are you using for car insurance?

I've had my car 12 months (in November) and prev insured with Aviva and was paying £37 a month, added a BMW 325d Estate which pushed it up to £110 [:(]. I was expecting it to go down as the BM was added part way through the year on a multicar policy so thought it was pro-rata'd..... HA! IF BL00DY ONLY - it's gone up £30 a month!!

Car is a relatively low miler (67K) in great condition and has had all the 'usual suspect' replaced etc.....

So, keen to hear what insurance you have:
  • Normal Car Insurance
  • Classic Car Insurance
  • Limited Mileage and so on........

Meanwhile, anyone want to buy a 325d Estate?

Hi
This is posted at the request of C Holliday who was having trouble posting a reply.

I've a 996.2 Targa too and it is (in my opinion) in very good condition, with 69,000 miles.
For the past three / four years I have been with Adrian Flux and found them to be very good; although I haven't had the need to make a claim. My policy is for 7,000 miles per annum and I pay a lot less than you've been quoted.
Give them a call: 0344 381 6524 or www.adrianflux.co.uk and see what they can do.
Regards Chris

location and where the car is kept is a huge factor - in a garage in surrey vs on the street in hackney

my car is on the street in london and many of these brokers give me go-away quotes

Paul,

I’ve been with ClassicLine for my 2009 987.2 Cayman for a number of years and have been very satisfied with the cover provided and cost, although they only offer limited mileage cover (up to 5,000 miles per annum I believe?). The cover includes full UK and European breakdown assistance as well as track days and an approved value (PCGB valuation accepted). They have a lot of experience providing Porsche cover.

A claim for damage inflicted by a kamikaze cat a few years ago was handled very efficiently when I used my own choice of repairer.

Up to 12,000 miles with agreed value at Classic Line, Jeff - mine is [;)]
