edited,
the total cost is around £9000.00 thats using all Original Porsche parts. I have put another thread on Porsche general discusion area showing the full story.

if anyone would like to do this conversion I would be happy to offer advice if I can, on who to use and who not to use, which garages seem ok but arn't! but anyway enough with the negative, I am officially in love with this car!!!

Anthony.

Thats stunning - an excellent conversion. The dogs!
And the total cost - if I can be excused for being so rude to ask?

Total Cost £9000 !!!!!!

I reckon you should insure it for £49,000+. But pretty sure you could sell it for more.

If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't sell her, just enjoy driving a new 997. Absolutely fantastic work all round.[:)] It's been a real joy watching the progress over the past 6 months.

Excellent! Just the mirrors to go right? Can't wait for the next project - make that Freelander into a Vanquish complete with a 6lt V12.

Seriously, looks the biz.

WOW

That is excellent - I have been following your various threads on the old internet - good job buddy!!!!

Thanks everyone!! it's really nice to hear all your positive comments. I have the wing mirrors and badges ready to go on they'll be on by weekend, "usermjg" you've summed it up completely I can't stay away from the window! I don't think that I will sell the car for a good few years theres just been too many hours put into it by me and everyone else who worked on it.

I would love to get the car on display at the porsche show and maybe in a magazine, does anyone know how to go about this?

Thanks again,

Anthony[:D]

Being one of the early sceptics regarding this project, I am happy to conceed that the finished article is very impressive. Congratulations Ant for your bravery and tenacity to see this through.

Thumbs up from me.

Incredible. Too impressed for words. Brave indeed but the results are just stunning. PAG should be pooing their pants. So for £9000 I get me a 997. Now that's pretty slick.

I really want to see this in the flesh. Seriosuly.

Scouser,
I live in Wigan so just email me and well sort something out, thankyou to you all for you comments, I know it shouldn't really matter what anyone else thinks but it means so much that other people can see what I was trying to do with this car, I am happier with this car than I have ever been with any car that I have ever owned and it really feels like "my car". And it just gets better the more I drive it, I'd forgoten how good these cars are! the engine and induction noise are just beyond words, but then I suppose you all know that already.

Thankyou all very much,

Anthony.

Very nice work, I have been watching this for a while and you must have balls of steel.

Are you going to any of the shows or events in it, I would love to see it in the flesh.

David.

have to say that took balls to do that and it looks great the sort of thing we do on 912's and 911's but on a new 996 !!!! Well done..

I will definatley be going to the Porsche club show, and would like to get to some others if possible it would be nice to have it parked next to a real 997 so people can compare the two?

Anthony,
Wigan! That's brill. Gotta see your car.

But I know a bunch of guys who would love to see it. How do you fancy a trip to Wirral to the next local group meet here. You'll enjoy it and I know the group will. If not I will come up there on my own.

Let me know and I will keep you posted when we are next meeting.
Cheers,
Berny

Berny,
I would love to come to a local meet, just let me know when it is.

Thanks,

Anthony.
