996 TT Differences MY 02 to 03

May have found a car, only issue is that it's a 52 plate and I was looking at slightly newer vehicle to get the PCM 2 upgrade. Now that I've found this car at ok money I'm thinking spend a bit on an all singing replacement for the PCM 1. Were there any other differences or is 03 significant for the PCM change only?

Thanks in advance

PCM2 and the MOST fibre optic system is just about the only difference. If you want to upgrade the audio/navigation system, a MY2002 car is MUCH easier to do.

You can get navigation discs for PCM2 for most of Europe at least up to 2009 - I doubt you can get as recent for PCM1. The MOST bus also allows addition of devices like the Dension or MoBridge to allow iPhone and/or Bluetooth connectivity (albeit at a price!).

If you have the later navigation drive, you can run 2010 Vauxhall/Opel maps on PCM1. I have heard that it is possible to use the V/)m 2011 maps, but the system needs a further update to do that.

Wow. Can I get a newer CD for my 2000 model sat nav? I believe it was the top 'Bose digital' option for that year and it does have the colour screen but some of the maps are quite vague/out of date compared to more modern systems.

regards,

Ben

If you press the AC button, and then the lower right hand knob, you will get a screen as shown on the attached.

If it shows PONA628D or PONA642D, drop me an email.....
