996 TT S in EVO mag

Tested in "new cars" it gets the full 5 stars, plus the recognition that there is no better way of spending £100k on a car. They comment on the fact that the interior has more character than the "generic modern luxury car" interior of the 997, and that the performance is even more surreal than the TT and that the PCCB's are astounding. I know EVO is very pro Porsche at the moment, but to summarise a run out car replaced by something as stunning as the 997 with such praise is significant.

Although not an S, when I bought mine, about the best compliment I could think of was that it was worth the money.

Oddly my issue only gives it 4 and a half stars, presumably on the recognition that it is now an obsolete model and some are going to be seeing the 997S as the better purchase -- I wouldn't say no personally , but if I had a spare £100K I'd wait for the 997 Turbo now.

Since Evo began that is the most stars so far.
The Speed 12 is awesome - that's what you call a focussed no compromise car.

To use the current terminology, maximum respect to the factory for building it, for selling it and supporting it, and to the guy that bought it for not just hiding it away.
I glad such things exist and even more pleased it was built here.
