996 Turbo as replacement for an SL55

I won't bore you with the reasons, but suffice to say that my 2004 SL55 has just been sold and I am taking delivery of a 5 month old Turbo/cab/Tip on Tuesday. [:)]

This will be a stop gap untill the 997 Turbo/ cab is available.

We do a fair bit of European touring and the SL has always seemed to accomodate a fair bit of luggage in the boot, and with the 'Special' bag that MB make, we have been able to store quite a a few things in it on the 'Shelf' behind the front seats.

Whilst Porsche seem to have a few 'Speciasl' boxes to fit in the front compartment, are there any custom made bags or holdalls that can sit behind the seats ?

Question 2. Does the Sat Nav system use Teleatlas Discs or Navtech as I have a full set of Teleatlas European discs ?

Welcome to the club, I have done a fair bit of touring in this car and had a great time.
I purchased from a bag shop two soft leather bags which are perfect fits for the front boot space and to sit on the rear seat/shelf, I couldn't honestly see the reason to buy the Porsche ones and find the soft bag on the shelf allows the wind deflector to be fitted easily.

Q2,sorry I have no idea, but will take a look later if no-one else has responded..

Discs are NavTech but you should get a complete set for Europe with the car anyway (I did with my Turbo S and it's about the same age).
