996 Turbo good roads/track days and hotels with secure parking

Recently acquired a 996 Turbo and I am looking for good roads around the Wiltshire area in order to stretch its legs.
At some point I will also be looking to do a track day, and get some experience of the car, as this is my first 911.

So I am also looking for any recommendations that club members might have for good roads, track days, and decent hotels
with secure parking as I have to keep the missus happy :)

Hi Barry
Keep an eye on this thread, It may be of interest to you.

Finding decent roads at normal times for a turbo was my problem.
The A350 from Warminster down to Shaftsbury can be ok and then there is zig zag hill the other side of Shaftsbury.
Also the road across Salisbury plain through Tilshead (might be the 350 again actually).
All depends on the traffic hence the time!

Thanks for the information. With regard to the track day, I think that Feb is a little early for me, as I prefer do go for a track when
I think that there is a decent chance of reasonable weather. Also as I have limited track experience, only doing castle comb previously
I need to go for a track with a decent run off, and some tuition.

Have been thinking about Silverstone with Porsche experience centre, so gain some experience of 911. Then do a track day again with tuition

I will try and keep on eye the forums, to see what comes up. Also from an insurance point of view I have track day cover as long as it arranged by the
Porsche club

Just wanted to thank David L for the suggestion of the A350 I will take a look at it when I get the chance, many thanks for the
suggestion :)
