996 Turbo - Hollow Spoke - Paint Code

Evening All,
I've asked on another forum too, but remembered I've now joined PCGB who may be privy to the below information[;)]...

I'm having the wheels on the turbo re-finished (after the paint shop painted them in noticeably the wrong silver).
I've tried a search online, but don't seem to be getting a definitive answer.
What is the Standard Silver (not GT Silver) paint code and finish (metallic/gloss?) on a 996 turbo hollow spoke alloy??
I popped into my local OPC today who I have used for work before, but they didn't seem too helpful (probably as I'm having the wheels done elsewhere!)
Both myself and the paint shop are struggling to find the correct information and we would like to get it right this time around.
Many thanks in advance!

I believe the standard silver paint code is 9A1 for 996 wheels. Only turbo s was different as it was gt silver, as you rightly mentioned. Cheers, John.

Cheers.
Whilst 9A1 is the Porsche specific code, how do independent paint shops mix a paint that is a match to Porsche's' code?
Just out of interest now really (and I suppose to be sure this time around)...

Thanks Rich, but after speaking with an OPC...It appears the 'code' simply decodes as 'silver-metallic'
Which of course I would assume isn't particularly helpful to a paint shop, owing to the many different types of silver?

Rich is right. Although to the OPC it appears as silver metallic (because Porsche know the blend they use) to a paint guy it will decode on their computer (they'll enter the car make, the paint code, the year of manufacture) to a weighted mix of pigments. It'll tell the paint guy what tin of base paint to use and then the rest will be squirted into the tin and mixed until ready.
