996 Turbo in NI

Hi guys,

I have posted in various other places but I am going for maximum coverage to try and cover all my bases.

It is upgrade time from my Boxster S and the turbo 996 seems to be the way to go. I know plenty on the cars and the reasoning so I am fairly set that this is the way to try and go. I am located near Belfast. I know of only two advertised (at Hollybrook), but I would be interested in looking beyond these both because I would like a few miles less and would like something a touch more interesting in colour. Silver is ok though meridian is awful and arctic would need to be on a very good car to keep me happy!

If you know of anything, please give me a shout!

ps. I know my chances are limited, for a local find. If nothing appears over the next month, I will then head to the mainland.

I am in the process of trading in my own 2007 911 turbo with only 11k miles - as new guards red and every option - would love to see it going to a good home

Thanks for the reply and I really wish I would take your offer - guards is a fantastic colour - but there is no way on earth I could stretch to 997 turbo money. That is an adventure when I have 3 more years of spare change saved up!

There are plenty of good ones across the water where both my Porsches have come from. Got my '04 Turbo with 20k miles from 911 Virgin last summer and it was priced as well as cars with 45k miles here. Got Peter Morgan to inspect it then drove it back.

I have been on the hunt for a couple of months now and was almost set for buying a 993C2 from the south. Unfortunately the seller wanted wide body money so I had to pass. So I am still on the hunt for a nice car but there are not too many catching my eye. The 996 Turbo is still an option but I am getting a bit doubtful that I will find one which does not either have more miles than I want or a color scheme which would bore a monk! 993s and 964s are even tougher... it is all such hard work and I hate to admit it but I found myself wondering whether I should get a TVR instead and set asside a bunch of cash for when it breaks down!
