996 Turbo insurance

Depends on so many things doesn't it - but that's what brokers are for.

Try all those advertising in the Porsche Post - Adrian Flux, Footman James etc.

i've found those advertising in PP to be more expensive than most. My tried and tested method is to use the comparison websites for indicative quotes then go direct to that provider and they can usually knock a little off that.

Whose currently the cheapest please
There are too many variables to say who will be cheapest for an individual. However, cheapest is not necessarily the best solution where insurance is concerned! I have always found Porsche Insurance Services(Marsh) to be very competitive with good cover (i.e you don't have to go to some back street bodyshop for repairs!)
Two threads to look through (although not necessarily right up to date)

Not quite 'turbo'....

But ClassicLine have met my requirements for the past 2 years including a very 'positive' agreed valuation done through PCGB

£500 for me and the Mrs (40 years old) with Auto Direct, although when I added my 70 year old father it went up to £600!

Turbos are usually cheaper to insure than a Carrera, Paul.

There are so many variables, that there never seems to be a 'cheapest place'. That's why I started the Ultimate Insurance Thread, and if you flick through it, you can see the variation. I always find I have to shop around, every time I get a significant premium hike, and 9 times out of 10 I can find it cheaper.

I think we are also overdue for a "what oil?" or "what tyres?" thread now! [;)] [;)]

I have found that "CompareTheMarket.com" is the best comparison website by far AND you get a free Meerkat to boot. My wife's 2003 Boxster just re-insured for £350 and my 996 C2 was about the same last year. This is for both of us to drive fully comp. We now have 3 Meerkats with another on the way. Simples !

I have always found Adrian Flux to ne well priced and also great service wise. They also insure my old Volvo!

Full no claims limited mileage and my wife on it comes to just under £650.
Not that she would want to drive her mind you [8|]

I think they are year one, but come renewal without any claims or incidents mine went up from £500 to over £!k, rang them and said they couldn't better the renewal quote so went elsewhere using method described in earlier post

I once had all my cars with Adrian flux they screwed up big time.

They Could not deal with multiple policies they constantly confused things and made a complete mess of my NC.

I would be very careful with Adrian Flux.

just had to renew my insuarance on the bike,i was quoted £345 from the company i am with now ,last year i had a quote with gocompare.com ,they sent me a reminder that my insuarance was due, and did i want a quote for this year, just had the quote and it came to £165 ,so it does pay to shop around.

I agree, I'm only over here just 18 months or so, having imported my car form Ireland last year. I got a better deal on the insurance this year, Yes found the Porsche Post adverts much more expensive and tried comparethemarket.com and went with Admiral in the end as they offered me the best deal overall.
