Hi All,
I have a keyfob where apparently the keyhead needs to be replaced according to Porsche at a cost of £245 pounds.
From my research so far, the keyfob seems to have a small PCB, with some micro switches on it, a battery on the reverse side and I think a small chip mounted near the key blade as described in the post "Design Key - Key Head Replacement "
I have tried simply changing the battery on the key fob and although the led lights on the keyfob when I press the buttons, the car does not unlock the central locking.
Is there a way of testing the chip, to confirm it has failed, and are there any independant Porsche specialists that can provide the necessary parts and code them to the car, other than a Porsche main dealer ?
Many thanks
Barry
