Help!! Im having a nightmare in the middle of France! Intermittent PSM / ABS failure warning lights coming on & now engine cutting out at low revs eg as I approach traffic lights.

Car has just had major service plus other stuff eg ignition coils at No.5 Porsche in London who are normally very good. They‘ve put me in touch with an indie in Reims so I’m taking it there. But if anyone else has had this it’d be useful to know what the cause was.

thank

Does the PSM/ABS message come on when you accelerate quickly? If so, it might be a MAF sensor failure. I had it on my 996T, and running a diagnostic check gave a fault code for the MAF sensor.

It’s been fixed by these guys https://www.easycarsreims.com/
who are brilliant!!!

The near side turbo air intake hose had not been clamped into place and had worked its way loose & eventually come off. This explains why I was able to drive no problem from London to south of Calais before getting PSM/ABS messages & misfire / stalling. They tried to explain it to me but my French is limited but it has something to do with compression when I braked.

Looks like the hose wasn’t clamped in place at all. They took before & after photos to show no clamp on the hose.

At least its fixed and I’m back on the road. But I’ll be seeking answers when I get back to UK....
